Manual Stitches
Digitizing at its most basic. Place the mouse pointer where you want a stitch and click the button, move the mouse, click and so on. This tool is normally used to make short walks to another segment or for advanced digitizers to make manual tie offs. Most users will find that the automatic tie features in the software work exceptionally well and likely will not need the manual stitch tool.

Run Stitch
The Running Stitch is a composed of stitches in a line, the stitches are arranged end to end resulting in a thin line. This tool is used to outline areas or to connect areas that are dislocated from one another. This prevents the need to trim between segments making the design more efficient.

Satin Stitching
There are 2 different methods in CORE that will produce columns, Which you use will depend on your preference, Both tools are essentially interchangeable, they differ only in the way they produce the outlines
Satin
This tool is used to create a fill area where the stitches vary in length and stitch angle. With this method you define one side of the shape, then the second side, more like Outlining the shape. After the shape is defined, you input the stitch angles then define the stitch direction.
Classic Satin
Some users prefer this method over the Satin method as this is the method that systems have been used for years and they are accustomed to drawing columns this way.
With Classic Satin, the outline and the inclinations are defined at the same time, Place one point of the outline, and then move the cursor across the shape to place a point on the opposite side. These point/counterpoint pairs define the stitch angle through that segment and both sides of the area

Steil
The Steil Stitch consists of stitches in a line, however the stitching runs perpendicular to the drawn line, resulting in a much bolder appearance than the Running Stitch. The Steil stitch setting in the properties will determine the width of the line as well as the density of the stitching.
The Steil Stitch properties also contains selection for the type of corner to create.

Complex Fill
Complex fill is generally used for large areas of stitching or complex shapes. The stitches in these areas are almost always fill stitching such as tatami. and all have a common stitch direction. Holes or voids in the stitching are common and can be used to carve out areas that will later be stitched over or left empty thus making for a less dense design with fewer stitches.

Cross Stitch
Cross Stitch areas are defined in the same way as Complex fills, the pattern created is a true cross stitch, You can control the size of the cross stitch in the parameters
Appliqué
Appliqué is a special filling method that utilizes the lines you define similar to Complex fill. Appliqués are generally outline stitching that will hold a piece of fabric instead of filling large areas with stitches.

Artwork
Artwork is created as vector lines, you can create geometric shapes such as circles , stars, squares etc... Artwork can be automatically converted to any Digitizing method
Symbol
Symbols are small stitch files that you can save to be quickly pasted into the working canvass, These are perfect for things like trademarks, registration symbols etc...
Note
Used to attach a note to the design for future reference, the notes stay with the file that can be referenced later
