Fill Type

Fill type determines how the stitching will be created in the outline, The default, and most common , is Standard

Standard- Standard places stitches parallel to the angle lines, this is the most common type of fill for this method

Emboss- Emboss applies a pattern to the fill ares, there are many emboss patterns to choose from to give your design a truly unique look

Contour-Contour follows to the outlines  and the stitches run perpendicular to the angle lines, This type is normally used with a low density to give an effect or dimension to the embroidery

Whipped-Whipped simulates old hand style embroidery. Each stitch in the Whipped fill is repeated and slightly offset from one another, Combine Whipped with a small amount of jagged edge for a true Vintage look

Pattern (Stitch Type)

The Stitch Pattern is normally Satin or Tatami. Satin is used when the column width of the widest part is usually less than about 7mm . Anything longer that that for a Satin stitch  you start to loose stability in the stitching. If you are creating an art piece, a wall hanging or something like that, you are less restricted. However, if you are creating a garment that will be worn and laundered regularly, long satin stitches can be problematic.
Try selecting some of the different patterns to see how the effect will look.

Stitch Length

This is the individual stitch length in the Fill areas. This parameters does not apply to Satin

Density

Density is the distance between stitches on the same side of the column, A lower number will result in more stitches. Normal Density is between 0.3 and 0.5
